EPA Deadline Looms, Threatening Local Missouri Economies, May 14th
An end of May deadline is looming for EPA to decide if they are going to change ozone standards. And although this may seem to be a minor regulatory change that benefits the public, in reality it is a potentially damaging economic setback to local communities with minor health benefits for the public. Furthermore, most counties will be unable to comply with the new standards; threatening their ability to issue permits to allow businesses to develop new opportunities, or expand current enterprises that could bring new jobs to our state.

2010 is shaping up to be a critical year for the debate on energy policy in America and many citizens feel left out of the discussion and powerless to make their voice heard. It’s my goal as State Chairman for Missouri to arm our citizens with the information they need to become educated on energy policy and create opportunities for them to join the debate and to give them a strong voice in Washington on this critical issue.
Our position is simple, energy drives the American economy. Our current energy and economic challenges are too great to ignore......
